The Listening Room - Oz

Medium twisted blues oz noy

The phrasing is metrically, gorgeously, meticulously, ecumenically, and medically stellar. This tune Get Down is more like, "get out my house if you can't handle dancing." Like with most of Oz's tunes, they move. This way. That way. Swingin' stuff around, lamps falling over, old basset hound running for cover. The head itself is so fun to listen to. The groove is so laid back in a pocket you feel like you might fall backwards out of your chair if you were trying to rock in time.

Oz is joined by Will Lee, John Medeski, and the fabulous Keith Carlock - a stellar cast of players.
